The Telefest Top Ten Finalists in the category of teleplays enjoy the attention and discernment of Industry judges, ensuring valid and complete script evaluation. While we cannot post these finalists' work publicly, we can set up a profile for the Top Ten Teleplay Finalists on the Telefest Social Network, wherein finalists decide how much or how little of their work they would like open to public view, as well as build a network of fan support.
The Telefest Top Ten Finalists in the categories of pilot presentations/film/documentary/web series will see their work online in November, 2012, when our top ten finalists for each category are announced and open to public voting for the Viewer's Choice and to industry notables for Industry's Choice. Likewise, the Telefest Top Ten finalists in the category of teleplays will also be announced in November, 2012 with their profiles open to public view.
The Top Three Finalists of each category (Industry Choice top three and Viewers Choice top three) will be invited as our guests with free tickets to the Telefest Opening Night Gala, Q&A panels with the Industry Judges and the Telefest Award Show, which will stream live online to viewers around the world. The Top Ten Finalists will all be invited to these exclusive events, although we regrettably cannot offer free tickets to all the finalists for the events this year. We hope to offer this for our second year.
By incorporating a unique social network for viewers in November, 2012, Telefest encourages viewers to engage with you and the festival award process by being introduced to you and your concept, rating your work, forming fan groups to help you promote and giving their direct feedback and reviews, which is useful for any artist bringing a concept to the television audience and swaying the opinions of programming buyers. Contestants who are chosen as one of the top ten finalists in their category will have their unique profile page on the Telefest website, wherein they can post their presentation, their bios and any other relevant information or updates. Finalists will have the opportunity to interact with the Telefest viewers, develop and nurture fan support for their work and communicate directly with website members.
ALL pilot presentation/film/documentary/web series contestants (with the exception of teleplay contestants), whether chosen as finalists or not, will have inclusion on our sister site, Telefest.tv on April 1, 2013 to promote their work/concept to viewers worldwide.
Call for Entries is May 21, 2012 and concludes October 15, 2012 with the top ten finalists in each category announced and profiles/concepts online in late November, 2012 for Industry voting and for all visual work, Viewer voting.
